Europe quiet in the run-up to Easter

April 2007
ICIS Chemical Business;4/9/2007, Vol. 2 Issue 61, p36
Trade Publication
The article focuses on the performance of the ethylene market in Europe. Aromatics prices waver as energy costs fluctuate, while olefins markets see more crackers shut for maintenance. European propylene prices are still above the second-quarter contract in the mid-to-high € 800s/tonne. Asian demand is healthy, apart from in India where buyers are expected to take less cargo in April 2007 while negotiations on phosphoric acid prices are outstanding.
