Firms stand by PFOA pledge

The article reports on the release of the baseline data for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) stewardship program. The data was submitted by the eight firms that agreed to take part in the program in a drive to reduce the amount of PFOA present in the environment. The data shows the emissions and levels of PFOA in products before the Stewardship programme began in January 2006.
