ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decline of chlorine production in Europe in February 2007. Output totaled 829,000 tonnes, down from 900,000 tonnes in January 2007. Nevertheless, production was still around 2% above the same period in 2006. Stocks of chlorine's co-product, caustic soda, declined 5,000 tonnes in February to 294,000 tonnes.
