ABSTRACT
The article reports on the increase in aromatics contracts in Europe due to improved consumption and increasing prices. Orthoxylene increased from €50 per tonne to €840 per tonne. The paraxylene contract rose to €20 per tonne from €850 per tonne. Benzene was agreed at $1,090 per tonne free on board North West Europe, equivalent to € 816 per tonne and €30 per tonne.
