Oman plans Duqm multi-complex

The article reports on the plan of Oman Polypropylene (OPP) to build a refining and petrochemicals complex in Duqm. According to OPP chief executive officer (CEO) Mohammed Benayoune, the feasibility study for the refinery, steam cracker and derivatives project had been completed and would be presented to the Ministry of Oil & Gas in May 2007. He added that the PP unit at Duqm will have a capacity of between 1.2 million and 1.5 million tonnes a year and is likely to comprise four trains.
