ABSTRACT
This article reports on the decision of Chemtura to reduce its workforce by ten percent, in a bid to streamline its business from six to four segments. The job cuts, which include five senior executives, will save the company $50 million. The company will be better able to serve current customer needs, anticipate its future requirements and target rapidly growing industry segments by focusing on end-use markets, the company said in a statement.
