The article presents news from the chemical industry. Celanese and Hebei Shield Technology are to build a joint-venture plant to produce the vinyl ester of neodecanoic acid. Akzo Nobel has selected the first two plants to be built on its planned multi-chemicals complex in the Ningbo Chemical Industry Zone, China. Russia's Omsk Refinery plans to raise its paraxylene production capacity from 165,000 tonnes/year to 240,000 tonnes/year.
