The article presents news from the chemical industry. Saudi Aramco is considering a joint-venture petrochemicals project with SABIC in Yanbu on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast. PTT Chemical has delayed the completion of its $225 million joint-venture project in Iran due to political instability. Middle East and Asian firms are becoming a force in chemical industry mergers and acquisitions, especially in the U.S., investment bankers said.
