ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the privacy and safety issues associated with the use of adult online social networking sites (SNS) by teenagers in the U.S. According to Pew Internet and American Life Project, girls use the sites to continue existing friendships while boys use the sites to find new friends or flirt. SNS allow users to create personal profiles and invite friends to view their information and photographs.
