The article reports that distributed antenna systems (DAS) in the U.S. are starting to emerge outdoors. Sprint Nextel, Donohue & Blue, Crown Castle International and Corning Cable Systems have founded the DAS Forum to chart new territory for the technology. Connie Durcsak, the executive director of the forum, explains that the idea is not to advocate DAS as a solution, but it is important to get the industry and the local communities together.
