Dynamics of the Carrier Ethernet switch market

The article reports that Carrier Ethernet switch markets have experienced comparatively limited deployment in carrier networks in the U.S. More than 10% of total Ethernet switch market could be experiencing a transition from limited deployments of inexpensive bandwidth to large-scale rollouts enabling carrier-grade services. Numerous reasons factored this strong market growth because Ethernet is cheaper and more scalable compared to other technologies.
