ABSTRACT
The article reports on the agreement between Southern California Edison Co. and Burns & McDonnell to act as agents of two major transmission projects that will bring power in Southern California in 2009. The Devers-Palo Verde No. 2 project consists of a 230-mile 500-kilovolt transmission line running from west of Phoenix, Arizona to Palm Springs, California. The Tehachapi projects will bring planned wind farm power from eastern Kern County to Los Angeles County.
