ABSTRACT
The article reports on the warning issued by specialists from the Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Maryland that lawn mower injuries are a seasonal threat to children and the leading cause of amputations in adolescents. According to pediatric operating room nurse manager Carol Gentry, lawn mower must be treated as a hazardous equipment. Lawn mower accidents send 9,400 U.S. children to the hospital annually. These accidents cause injuries more severe than other tool or device.
