ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the views of Susan Ebaugh, managing partner of Lilly Management Group, regarding the impact of the new federal mattress flammability standard to bedding retailers discussed at the Furniture/Today Bedding Conference in Texas. Ebaugh believes that the new standard will reduce the number of bedding producers and will bring new obligations to retailers. The standard which includes a stringent burn test, quality assurance and record-keeping requirements conveys new problem.
