This article highlights the existence and ascendancy of Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc., CPF, in the financial planning world. One profession, one designation the CFP trademark as the designation for financial planners. After more than a quarter century since its modest inception, the mark has, without question, emerged as the most recognized, many would say premier, mark in the financial planning world. Yet after years of faithfully chanting the mantra. Certified Financial Planner trademark licensees continue to find their mark under challenge, far from being the universal designation so many have envisioned.
