This article discusses the idea of convergence, getting out of the box for the new trend in financial planning. The surge in advisor-directed business through asset management platforms and the growing demand for feebased advice and services suggests that the basic box is the foundation for what is to come. Paint it. Redecorate it. Surround it with other boxes of resources. But do not confuse the message or diminish the cachet of the individually credentialed Certified Financial Planner advisor.
