ABSTRACT
The article reports on the training of sales executives in Comcast Corp. in promoting new digital-television technologies in the U.S. The executives are trained before they sell to clients interactive technologies. The large-scale training efforts suggest that the cable industry is moving beyond its interactive advertisements. Comcast uses a combination of individual study group programs in which specialists can describe new-media options in selling such products.
