ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the career of Paul Wolfowitz as president of World Bank which is the topic of discussion among palm wine bar patrons in Africa. According to one regular patron, Wolfowitz has been quoted as saying that corruption and bad governance is killing Africa. The palm wine drinkers focuses on the reason why Wolfowitz was forced to resign from his position which was due to the incident when he approved the pay increase of his lady partner at the World Bank.
