Daiwa Takes Stake in M&A Boutique Sagent

The article reports that New York City-based Sagent Advisors Inc. has agreed to sell a 20% stake to Japan's Daiwa Securities Group Inc. for $25 million. It is stated that the deal will provide Sagent the access to an extensive network of relationship in its operation in Japan while Daiwa Securities will gain access to Sagent's merger & acquisition (M&A) expertise in North America.
