ABSTRACT
The article reports on the increase in sales of the Seoul, Korea-based Hynix Semiconductor Inc. in the first quarter of 2007. It states that the price of dynamic random access memory (DRAM) products decreased by 27% quarter-on-quarter but was offset by bit growth. The firm cited productivity improvement and smooth transition to 80-nanometer technology as some of the reasons contributing to DRAM growth. The reason for the 42% decline in revenue for Not AND (NAND) flash memory is cited.
