Information on topics discussed at the 2007 Logichem conference held in Dusseldorf, Germany is presented. Eliminating complexity in the supply chain was the theme of the conference. Conference attendees agreed that complexity has grown as chemical companies try to satisfy the demands of their customers. Martin Christopher, professor of marketing and logistics at Great Britain's Cranfield School of Management, said that managers need to manage complexity as they no longer own or control the supply chain.
