Ciba favours Jacobs for Singapore plant

The article reports the selection of U.S. company Jacobs Engineering to provide engineering, procurement and construction management services for Ciba Specialty Chemicals' antioxidant facility on Singapore's Jurong Island. The plant will comprise a process structure, tank farm, service building, utilities and related site developments with start-up slated for 2008. The plant will supply antioxidants to the growing polymer industry in Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
