The article reports on the plan of Nielsen Co. to consolidate its initiatives affecting digital set-top box data into a new service, Nielsen Digital Plus by ErinMedia. The services will integrate set-top data from cable operators and satellite providers. However, Direct TV and Nielsen had an agreement to test the measurement of inter-active-viewing behavior by the satellite providers subscribers. Nielsen Digital Plus will use resources and information from several Nielsen businesses.
