ABSTRACT
The article reports that video-processing and data-networking systems provider BigBand Networks Inc. has filed for an initial public offering with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to raise $140 million. In its registration statement filing, BigBand Networks indicated that it has more than 100 customers globally including CableVision Systems Corp. and Charter Communications Inc. It also said that Verizon Communications Inc. was its biggest customer during the year 2006.
