ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of television network Showtime Networks Inc. to offer a download-to-own video service designed for Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system for personal computers. The new service will enable Showtime's consumers to subscribe and download episodes from its original series including "Weeds," "The L Word" and "Sleeper Cell." Showtime is using the software of ExtendMedia Inc. to manage video downloads.
