ABSTRACT
The article reports on the conflict between broadcast television (TV) station owner Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. and cable operators Comcast Corp. and Time Warner Cable Inc. in the U.S. According to Comcast's David Cohen, Sinclair has demanded large payments from Comcast so that its consumers can continue to view broadcast TV stations that are available for free. Sinclair has negotiated a new contract with Mediacom Communications Corp. for retransmitting signals of Sinclair's TV stations.
