The article reports on the agreement made by LodgeNet to purchase On Command Corp. for about $380 million in cash and stock in the U.S. According to the author, LodgeNet will double its size with the On Command deal, adding 830,000 hotel rooms to its existing one million-room footprint. In addition, it also provides in-room movies, video games, high speed Internet services and other interactive services to more than 6,000 hotels in the country and Canada.
