ABSTRACT
The article reports that the first "Monday Night Football" (MNF) season of ESPN got the highest rating in cable history. Nielsen Media Research Inc. data show that the network got an average of 9.9 household cable rating, with 9.11 million and 12.3 million viewers watched its 17-game slate. ESPN has been rated four times as the most-watched network overall on Monday primetime.
