Multichannel News;11/6/2006, Vol. 27 Issue 44, p8
The article focuses on the growth of local cable-advertising sales due to the U.S. 2006 Election. It has been considered by the National Cable Communications Inc. (NCC) as its breakthrough year. NCC estimated that it will have taken in some $135 million when all the political dollars are accounted for. This could be attributed to geographic targeting within certain zones for key state and local races as well as to the schedule options of commercial insertion.
