ABSTRACT
The article reports that Animal Planet channel has launched its second annual "Hero of the Year" campaign, a U.S. award program that highlights efforts toward animal welfare. Animal Planet has teamed with Fresh Step cat litter to solicit nominations for community heroes including nominations for a feline friendly category called "Cat Hero." Deadline for nominations is on July 14, 2007.
