ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a lawsuit filed by Charter Communications against Los Angeles, California-based law firm Irell & Manella LLP. Charter claims that the law firm's malpractice cost the cable operator and its holding companies more than $150 million in a cable acquisition. Irell & Manella allegedly erred in legal preparations for a deal in which Charter holding companies acquired Bresnan Communications systems from the Bresnan family and investors that included AT&T.
