ABSTRACT
The article reports on the weak Nielsen's ratings posted by the cop drama "The Shield" and the first episode of the final run of "The Sopranos." Home Box Office's premiere of "Soprano Family Movies" on April 8, 2007 has attracted 7.7 million viewers, 19% lower than the 9.5 million who watched the first entry season on March 12, 2006. Fx's "The Shield" drew 2.3 million viewers on April 10, 2007, slightly above its 2 million viewers for its April 3 season premiere.
