ErinMedia Pulls Back From TV Ratings

The article reports on the draw back of Florida-based-Erin Media (EM) from challenging Nielsen Media Research's (NMR) dominance in the television ratings business. EM has failed to secure a $25 million cash infusion that has prompted the company to reduce its costs. The company plans to continue its fight with NMR by focusing on licensing its six patents to research companies that are interested in the analysis of digital set-top box data.
