Motorola to Demo Set-Tops With Antennas

The article reports on the plan of equipment vendor Motorola to demonstrate two set-top box prototypes that provide antennas for receiving the over-the-air transmission of digital signals from local broadcast- television stations in Las Vegas, Nevada. The early implementations of a CableLabs specification currently in development will be represented by he devices. According to the company, the devices will combine digital cable set-top signal reception with off-air tuning capabilities.
