ABSTRACT
The article reports on the need to increase wet gas flow assurance and production. Oil and gas companies, especially those concentrating on subsea developments, are experiencing increasing pressure not only to discover new fields but also to increase flow assurance and optimize production from existing deepwater wet gas fields, with global energy consumption expected to triple over the next 50 years. It is commonly believed that subsea wells produce 20 less information compared to their counterparts. Multiphase metering and wet gas metering, two ways of detecting water production profiles from deepwater gas fields were explained. INSET: Wet gas meter design meets requirements.
