ABSTRACT
The article presents an outlook for the automotive market in the U.S. Analyst Mark Cornelius said that New Domestic automakers, including Honda, Nissan and Toyota, are performing better than the traditional Big Three, with sales so strong that some firms cannot keep up with the demand. Eli Lustgarten of ESL Consultants Inc. noted that the sector is under considerable pressure. He predicted that U.S. auto production is 14.9 million units in 2007, rebounding to 15.3 million in 2008.
