This article announces that NEC has developed a composite polymeric material with good heat conductivity. NEC claims the material makes the products more environmentally sound and solves heat-release problems. The company used a cross-linked structure of carbon fibres in a matrix of polylactic acid biopolymer to achieve the breakthrough. The product is expected to be commercialised by March 2009.
