The article presents updates on the chemical industry in Europe. European toluene di-isocyanate (TDI) contract values rose by an average €50 per tonne in April 2007 because of an imbalance in supply and demand. European crude and pure methyl-di-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) contract prices are unchanged in April 2007 at €1,870-1,950m per tonne following balanced market conditions. Pure MDI contract prices are also unchanged at €1,825-1,970/tonne free delivered (FD) west Europe.
