ABSTRACT
The article reports on the butadiene (BD) project of Brazil's Copesul. The company is expected to proceed with the delayed 100,000 tonne/year project in 2007, according to Andre Bauer, process engineer with Lurgi's hydrocarbon technology petrochemistry division. Bauer says that Lurgi has completed the basic engineering work for the project in Triunfo, Brazil. The project will raise Copesul's BD capacity at Triunfo to 260,000 tonnes/year.
