Rompetrol to revamp cracker

The article reports that Rompetrol Petrochemicals expects to finish revamping its ethylene cracker in Constanta, Romania. The revamping, which was led by the rising demand for polyethylene, is anticipated by the company to be completed around 2009. Felicia Andrei, a manager at the company, said that Rompetrol is preparing to start the revamp work and is now selecting a basic design contractor for it. The work is part of a polyethylene supply contract with Dow Chemical.
