The article reports on the decision of Romanian privatization agency AVAS to reschedule the deadline for offers for the synthetic rubber manufacturer Carom Onesti until May 9, 2007. AVAS hopes to achieve at least € 25 million from the sale to clear debts to energy suppliers, as well as to the state budget. Carom produces synthetic rubber and latex, methyl tertiary butyl ether, phenol and acetone, liquefied petroleum gas, gasoline, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene and oxygen.
