ABSTRACT
The article discusses the life and works of Michael T. Rose, founding member of the National Coordinating Council on Spinal Cord Injury in New Orleans, Louisiana. Rose became famous in the house construction industry in fact he started his own residential company in 1975 which embarked a different course compared to other developers. However, in 1978, he was paralyzed from a gunshot in which after his recovery he became a champion for accessible and universal design.
