The article reports on News Corp.'s appointment of Uday Shankar as chief operating officer of Hong Kong-based pan-Asian firm Star India. Shankar, who worked previously with Media Content and Communications Services, will report directly to Paul Aiello, chief executive officer of Star Group and acting chief executive of Star India. The article also reports on the appointment of Vijay Singh as Shankar's president of strategy and corporate development.
