ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a recent study that explores the factors behind miscarriage in pregnant women. The study, published in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology has identified 17 factors that may increase and decrease the risk of miscarriage. Factors that may decrease risk of miscarriage include taking vitamins, eating a healthful diet and better emotional well-being. The factors that increase the risk are, maternal age, having a low prepregnancy weight and having a stressful job.
