The article discusses Israel Railways' (IR) adaptation of an image processing (IP) technology in its efforts to develop its security system. The goal was to protect their stations against terrorists approaching train tracks by means of a detector ranging in any direction at any time in any weather, while ignoring certain factors like trains, shadows, and light reflections. The resulting technology was Agent Vi System, a video motion detection (VMD) solution that automates security processes.
