The article reports on the announcement made by health systems Froedtert & Community Health and Columbia Saint Mary's of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in April 2007 that they had signed a letter of intent to merge. The health systems want to merge finances, governance and management under a not-for-profit holding company. The author observes that the merger could affect the operation of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare.
