ABSTRACT
The article presents the views of Sandeep Kar, principal analyst of advanced heavy truck technologies at Frost & Sullivan, on the role of technology in growth of the trucking industry in North America. According to Kar, international trade is growing with globalization. Kar said that incrementing the return-on-investment on heavy trucks through the introduction of advanced and innovative technologies will emerge as the key growth strategy for truckmakers and their suppliers.
