ABSTRACT
The article reports on the statement by Daryl Tarbutton, president of Illinois-based mattress producer Bemco, that the U.S. bedding industry can take advantage of the pending onset of a new federal mattress flammability standard on July 1, 2007. Tarbutton says that producers can hold close-out sales promotions for non-compliant mattresses to increase their sales.
