ABSTRACT
The article discusses storage management in information technology (IT). The author believes that many businesses and organizations would benefit from integrating Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes into their existing data storage resource management tools. The ITIL framework is defined by the author as an integrated set of management processes used to deliver effective IT services to businesses and their customers. The author finds it puzzling that IT service providers focus on server and network management processes while rarely using storage management processes.
