This article profiles Scott Mills, executive VP and chief operating officer of BET.com, a destination portal for African-Americans, enriched by the cable TV channels and magazines of BET in the U.S. A natural entrepreneur, Mills hit his stride as an investment banker where he honed his skills in rapid number-crunching with an ability to bridge different factions' points of view. He joined BET Holdings and was called upon to find and executive several new business plans a year. He holds a degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
